Many women play the comparison game all the time and most of us are experts at this game. But at what cost to our own happiness? Theodore Roosevelt said, “Comparison is the thief of joy!” Playing the Comparison Game is no fun! It makes us feel horrible about ourselves and we feel like we’re less than or just not good enough. Why do we do it? And more important, how do we stop?
How to Be Content
Why are some people content with their lives, even when there are difficulties and challenges (because, let’s be real – we all have them), while others are not content and feel that they can’t be truly happy until things change? Is there a secret to being content? Lao Tzu said, “He who is contented is rich.” Alfred Nobel said, “Contentment is the only real wealth.” And the Bible says, “godliness with contentment is great gain."
